Netflix has, for a while now, been producing widely popular Netflix Original titles. With this has come everything from sci-fi must sees like Stranger Things and Black Mirror, to dramas you can’t seem to get enough of, like To the Bone and On My Block. Somehow even more popular in a genre all of its own, has been the readaptation of popular books into seemingly even more so popular movies. In the last few years, and even more so few months, Netflix has been stealing our hearts with love stories like The Kissing Booth, and drawing tears with titles like 13 Reasons Why. Though in the midst of this storm of blockbusters, there’s one title that’s stood out to us; To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. The movie has been breaking records with it’s adorable love story, intense relatability, and hunky stars ( Noah Centineo *cough cough*). So as a sort of tribute to the woman who’s brought a tale close to our hearts onto the big screen, here’s four Jenny Han Novels You Have to Read Before They’re Netflix Movies.
P.S. I Still Love You (2015)
Part two of the popular “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” is just as gut wrenchingly perfect as its prior. The same lovable characters in even more lovable scenarios, this book will give you the opportunity to grow to know the group on a deeper level than previously. Not only that, but this is the perfect antidote if the movie had left you wanting more.

Always and Forever, Lara Jean (2017)
The third and final piece to the amazingly sweet trilogy is a keen example of how Jenny has a knack for creating the most wonderful things in threes. Starting with our new favorite love triangle (and let’s face it, that was hard to beat after Twilight and the Hunger Games), and ending smoothly in the form of three amazing books. The third piece of the set is the perfect way to wrap up the story. This is the latest and surely the greatest in Jenny’s work, and a pure reflection of how far her writing has come, as well as the development of the characters we hold near and dear.

The Summer I Turned Pretty (Trilogy)
The trilogy is the summertime puberty tale you never asked for, but somehow can’t live without. Han once again works her magic by providing lovable characters and relatable situations, this time in the perfect summer setting. If the realness of the emotions the characters are feeling wasn’t enough, the book will have you nearly tasting the ocean salt and feeling the sunscreen on your skin while indulging yourself in this summer coming-of-age love story. This page turner will surely be your new obsession; good thing there’s three.

Burn for Burn Trilogy (Co-Written by Siobhan Vivian)
An older set of Han’s, Burn for Burn is reminiscent of the same ideals and principles introduced in “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before”, just on a deeper level. With all of the drama and sheer emotion our teenage hearts adored, the somewhat Degrassi style trials and tribulations of the characters will leave you with a lot to think about. We weren’t kidding when we said Jenny always makes sure the best things come in threes. This set is chalk full of secrets, lies, and revenge wrapped up in a pretty little package. Much like her other works, Jenny Han has ensured you won’t be able to put this set down until the very end.
